I am currently a Technical Fellow at eBay, Inc. In that role, I am involved in solving some of the more challenging engineering problems found anywhere on the web. I came to eBay after 7 years of consulting for HP, Sun, multiple banks, and several e-commerce organizations.
My engineering career spans 25 years and includes research on relational databases, designing geographic map software, building email products, and creating scalable web applications.
The purpose of this blog is to share knowledge and experiences that come from having survived and thrived for 25 years in Silicon Valley. That doesn't happen without learning a few lessons and developing some opinions.
